2019 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

2019 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

Performance

This year, the beloved Beetle convertible comes with a single engine and transmission option. This convertible is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine with four cylinders  and produces up to 174 HP and 184 LB-FT of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, which is the lone transmission offered for the trim. Sport mode, which comes standard, puts you in charge of the gearing for a more controlled and thrilling driving experience.

Interior

The 2019 VW Beetle Convertible certainly has power credentials designed to impress.  Some exceptional features you can look forward to are an innovative infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment also pairs with your own smartphone to provide easy access to directions, music, phone calls, text messages, and more. A premium Fender sound system with 400 Watts and a clear, crisp sound will delight all music lovers. Available satellite radio opens up a world of possibility for the audio system. Other notable interior highlights of the convertible are dual-zone climate control, two-tone seats with leather trim and accent stitching, and heated front seats, which are standard on the base trim. You’ll get an infotainment system with many user-friendly features and a variety of available features like weather and navigation. A push-button start and mobile VW app, which gives you parking information and other important up-to-the-minute information about your car, are other notable amenities.

Safety

The 2019 VW Beetle is cute, sporty, and stylish. But as its plethora of standard safety features shows, it is also a safe car. The latest Beetle comes with notable safety amenities that act as a second set of eyes and ears on the road. They include blind spot monitoring, rear traffic alert, and parking distance control. A backup camera is also standard, as is a reinforced safety cage with crumple zones in the front and back that deflect energy from a crash away from passengers. A post-crash response system is designed to shut off the car, turn on the hazard lights, and respond if the airbags are deployed and you can’t call for help yourself. A post-accident braking system is another notable safety feature.
